Job Description
4. Supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) through the provision of generalist, proactive support on a range of employee relations issues
5. Providing an efficient service for employees requiring guidance, help and advice in respect of Company policies and procedures and Employment legislation
6. Creating a positive employee relations approach; supporting, coaching and upskilling Managers to fulfil their people management responsibilities
7. Providing operational support and advice on employee relations matters; such as disciplinary, grievance, appeals.
8. Supporting with redundancy consultation processes and TUPE when necessary.
9. Proactively dealing with absence management; assisting with the identification and resolution of problematic cases and long-term sickness issues, monitoring KPIs and trends to propose preventive measures
10. Managing an allocated employee relations case load
11. Assisting the team to support departments/teams through organisational change and embedding new structures and processes where required
12. Maintain employment legislation knowledge to provide sound guidance and expertise to management.
13. Working with the Management team to drive performance on key people metrics
Qualifications
14. Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role
15. Experience of handling ER cases including disciplinary and grievance, appeals, absence management and redundancy
16. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation including GDPR
17. High level of discretion and confidentiality
18. Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach
19. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
20. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
21. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload
22. Excellent stakeholder, people and change management skills
