Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hybrid, Tipton based with travel
Salary: to £45k Plus Company car/Allowance and benefits
An exciting new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team of Civil Engineers running our biggest clean water and waste water projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll work closely with operational managers and subcontractors across several projects, providing commercial support on site and preparing for client/contractor meetings You’ll be based from our hub in Tipton but have a remit that covers the UK, working on projects for our biggest customers in the water industry These projects range from £250k to £5m plus so you’ll be used to working alongside our teams of engineers and working with varied clients and project managers.

What’s the role:
Maintaining accurate records of all values; costs, programme changes, productivity and profitability, as well as implement appropriate controls to monitor and ensure all stakeholders operate in accordance with the company procedures.
Carrying out site measures, preparing supporting information for submitting interim valuations and agreement of final accounts.
Preparing and issuing subcontractor orders, overseeing all commercial performance throughout the contract duration.
Providing commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, and budget monitoring.
What you’ll need:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC / HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with specific QS experience.
Knowledge and experience in the utilities/ civil sector preferably in the water industry
A comprehensive working knowledge of NEC3 & 4 contracts and JCT.
Have the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
A full driving licence.
