Job summary The Friarage Hospital is seeking applications for General Practitioners to work in the Friarage Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). Please see attached Job Description for this post. The department has been on an incredible journey since transitioning from an A&E in March 2019. The public consultation received overwhelming support for the 24/7 service and the department has trained a fantastic multidisciplinary workforce who've demonstrated incredible resilience through the pandemic. The team are now incredibly proud to be leading the way for Urgent Care across North Yorkshire and to be sharing their story with other UTCs. Main duties of the job This is a clinical post within a training department. The post holder will work to deliver high quality urgent care to patients presenting to the Friarage Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). The role has an educational aspect involving the support of all trainees, including Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Care Practitioners and GP Registrars, to develop their skills for independent practice through shop floor supervision, case-based discussion and completion of clinical assessments and multi-source feedback for e-portfolios.
