Purpose
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will join IDEMIA Public Security's Justice and Public Safety division, which applies biometric technology expertise to empower global law enforcement agencies. With 50+ years of experience, we are trusted by over 85 governments worldwide.
Purpose: This role transforms requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
Key Missions
* Use programming, scripting, and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and optimizes software performance.
* Identify existing software components, libraries, and frameworks to reuse in solutions.
* Apply knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
* Contribute to requirement (functional and non-functional) analysis and estimations.
* Support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements.
* Build software structure including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
* Document and demonstrate solutions by developing code comments, layouts, diagrams, and charts.
* Contribute to software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.).
* Code large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline, and cost.
* Perform design and code reviews and assess software performance optimization.
* Contribute to and promote the organization's technical governance.
* Perform complex troubleshooting.
* Coach and manage a small team of Software Development Engineers.

* Have knowledge of different languages: Java, Python, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI 3, APIs, SVN, Bitbucket, Nexus, Sonarqube, Nessus, Cyberwatch.
