Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking
Package: £42,650 – £65,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Electronic Engineer.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Engineer looking to apply their Electrical/Electronic skills to challenging system integration, safety, security, or nuclear projects.
In growing our capability, we will also be growing your skills and knowledge as an Engineer with opportunities for development and progression across our programmes of work.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have some of the following:
1. HNC/HND or degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment
2. Ability to integrate and work well in a team and support or take the technical lead in projects
3. Degree qualification or NVQ Level 5 or Experience in a science or engineering discipline
4. Proven track record of driving technical delivery, performance and continuous improvement with a consideration for quality, time, and cost
5. Proven experience in planning, organising and balancing priorities to deliver multiple objectives concurrently
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
7. Strong communication and exceptional people management skills to drive teams with discovering and sharing key information whilst developing others
8. Experience in Leading Design, Integration and Testing of Electronic/Electrical systems
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
1. Delivering engineering solutions that meet safety and performance requirements, across AWE programmes and the full engineering lifecycle to a high standard
2. Planning and executing tasks in order to deliver agreed objectives to time; requirements, quality and cost
3. Identifying and supporting opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement
4. Effective stakeholder management, engaging others having a positive impact driving decisions and programme delivery
5. Leading, coaching and developing people into multidisciplinary teams meeting delivery objectives, acting additionally as a Task Manager
6. Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality
7. Presenting results and information to internal and external stakeholders

You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role (more information on this can be found on our website) and be willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas if required.
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
