About this role
Capital One is looking for an experienced Salesforce Development Engineer to join our Salesforce platform team, based in our Nottingham head office.
What you’ll do
1. You’ll be working within our Salesforce Centre of Excellence to ensure that we are building a Salesforce platform that follows best practice and will scale for future use cases
2. You’ll work as part of a self-organised Salesforce team who design, develop and maintain core features on our Salesforce platform, which powers our internal agent systems
3. You will help to integrate Salesforce with our Enterprise tooling and internal AWS solutions, with a real opportunity to innovate. Example integrations include: Snowflake, Logzio and New Relic. You will also need to work on a platform that is integrated with AWS through apis and our event based architecture
4. You will help create a prioritised roadmap for the platform to ensure that we align with Enterprise standards and meet the needs of key business outcomes
5. You will help to govern and steer the overall solution for the platform and be a key participant at our solution design forum
What we’re looking for
6. Someone with proven Salesforce experience and strong knowledge of its architecture and API governor limits
7. Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications, specifically other internal cloud applications and third party apis
8. Experience writing Apex classes and triggers
9. Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System and Lightning Web Component Language (LWC)
10. Working knowledge of SFDX CLI for packaging and Dev Ops
11. Experience supporting Salesforce configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, validations, custom permissions, and approvals
12. At least 2 certifications including Platform Developer 1 and Integration Architect Certification

Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position and is based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
