Technical Sales Administrator
OA are currently working with a growing organisation within the roofing solutions industry, looking to recruit a Technical Sales Administrator to support their sales team. This role combines customer interaction with technical knowledge, including preparing quotations, interpreting construction drawings, and providing product recommendations.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (40-hour week)
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond to customer enquiries promptly via email and phone.
2. Review project details and assist customers with product selection.
3. Use product knowledge to suggest tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
4. Prepare and input accurate quotations into the system, ensuring all activities are recorded.
5. Follow up on quotations and maintain ongoing communication with customers.
6. Interpret construction drawings and incorporate them into proposals.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Strong technical and logical mindset with excellent numerical skills.
2. Previous customer service/admin experience in an office environment.
3. A degree in Maths, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is desirable, or construction industry knowledge is also advantageous.
4. Confident communicator with a professional approach to engaging with customers over the phone.
5. High attention to detail, with strong literacy and organisational skills.
6. A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, with a genuine interest in numbers and problem-solving.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quick to learn new systems.
