Head of Sales - Industrial Lighting
Location: Significant time will be spent in Dartford so we are looking for someone within a commutable distance of Dartford.
Salary: Up to £70K base DOE, with additional earning potential including commission and bonuses along with a monthly car allowance and other benefits.

A leading designer and manufacturer of handcrafted, high-quality industrial-style lighting and furniture, serving both trade and consumer markets across the UK and internationally, collaborating with interior designers, architects, and businesses to provide lighting solutions that elevate residential, commercial and hospitality spaces. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a strategic, results-driven Head of Sales to drive revenue growth and lead the Sales Manager and 2 sales administrators.
Key Responsibilities include:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for both new and existing business development, driving sustainable revenue growth.
* Identify and capitalise on new sales opportunities in the UK and international markets.
* Use Salesforce and Shopify data to inform sales decisions, target new markets, and drive engagement.
* Create structured sales plans, focusing on both short-term and long-term goals.
Sales Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of 3.
* Provide regular coaching, performance evaluations, and development plans to ensure team growth and sales effectiveness.
* Set and monitor individual and team sales targets, ensuring goals are met while providing guidance and support.
You will also be responsible for Client Relationship Management & Trade Shows & Industry Engagement including leading the planning, execution, and follow-up strategy for trade shows and representing the company at industry events.
You will head up Sales Operations & Process Optimisation - structuring sales campaigns, creating actionable plans to improve sales performance and optimising CRM data quality and sales processes.
In terms of Product Development & Market Expansion, you will collaborate with the product team on new product development and provide feedback to marketing and product development teams.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in leading a sales team in the lighting industry and driving revenue growth.
* Strong experience in both B2B and B2C sales, with an understanding of varying market demands.
* Excellent negotiation, networking, and client relationship management skills.
* Data-driven mindset with experience using Salesforce, CRM tools, and sales analytics to guide strategy.
* Experience in organising and managing trade shows, events, and industry networking.
* Strong leadership experience to coach, motivate, and develop a small and high-performing team.
* Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and team management.
