Sales Manager
Location : Warrington
Salary: cA GBP 45,000 per annum, plus bonus + benefits (Negotiable : depending on experience)
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager the purpose of this role is to manage the day:to:day sales and business development activity and growth of the business across its current and future customer:base.
In this role, you will manage KPIs for the Sales and BD Department and oversee sales / commercial activities undertaken across the business, including within the Logistics Team, to ensure development and retention of key clients.
You will be responsible for managing the budget for sales and business development activities in line with forecast, manage staff performance, (including hiring, induction and training for the sales team), review the sales processes and procedures, develop and implement continuous improvement, build and maintain excellent customer relationships and, all in all, to seek to continually grow turnover and gross profit ensuring they deliver a world class customer service throughout.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
* Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be highly organised
* Experience of leading and developing a team is a must.
* Be a self:starter who is confident and enthusiastic, highly resilient and good under pressure and who can naturally develop relationships with clients and colleagues
* Easily able to articulate strategy into day:to:day operations.
* Positive, energetic team player who is passionate about sales, whilst also providing high quality customer service.
