NES Fircroft are recruiting a Digital Graduate (Engineering) on behalf of our major Engineering and Services Client based in Renfrew, Scotland. This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 37.5hrs per week Mon-Fri. Salary and full benefits package.
Job Summary:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to support the client in its Digital journey, with this being a new role within the Business systems team. Working across multiple information systems which focus on business systems, you will support with the implementation of new systems across the organisation and help maintain and evolve our existing systems through resolving routine ICT service requests and issues.
You will also work closely with our Operational and Engineering teams to support the digitisation of their processes, enabling them to become more efficient. This position can facilitate rapid career progression within the business with opportunities to advance to our project controls, QS and Operational leadership positions.
You will work closely with Clients, Functional Digital Leads, Business Information Systems Manager, BAU Super Users, BAU Key Users, Group ICT teams and occasionally dedicated implementation teams to ensure our systems inspire our people, simplify what we do, so we can win.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Drive excellence through effective and efficient use of systems.
* Understand and document business requirements over the short, medium and longer term.
* Consult through lessons learned sessions with End Users, Key users and Process Owners to ensure that functionality and configuration meets evolving business requirements.
* Work to ensure BAU changes and 1st to 4th Line support is seamless and adapt flexibly to meet business requirements based on operational demand.
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
* Develop & deliver training, materials, support, advice to key users in order for users to better their experience within the systems suite and improve their data analytics.
* Assist in the provision and support of the developed ‘low code’ applications based upon group architecture.
* Develop and maintain consistent solutions across our approved application suite.
* Maintain confidentiality with sensitive data/information.
* Build and maintain workflows and process automation.
* Support other Digital Analysts and leads during the resource-intensive phases of their projects.
* Document the project operating model, principles and process maps that form the basis of the solution requirements for each project.
* Agree solution architecture & configurations to be used on each project.
* Oversee development of any systems modifications & testing.
* Develop Project level key users to support implementation and go live.
* Hands-on implementation and training of the project systems suite.
* Monitor support team service delivery against agreed SLA’s.
Skills / Required Experience:
* Strong technical acumen and the ability to analyse complex situations and effectively solve problems and drive an excellence culture.
* Experience of ICT systems, technical development, testing and system implementation.
* Understanding of GDPR and good practice of complex data management.
* Experience of successfully working with a variety of stakeholders and able to communicate complex information simply.
* Pragmatic approach, able to balance the ideal with the reality of what is needed today.
* Demonstrable ability to thrive in a complex, rapidly changing and demanding globally integrated (but not centralised) business environment.
* Knowledge of low code and process automation platforms such as Power Platform & Nintex.
* Experience of configuration of operation / maintenance systems.
* Experience / Background / Degree within the Engineering/Construction/Industrial Services/QS or Project Controls.
