Location: Hampshire/Hybrid (or willing to relocate)
18 to 37 hours per week, term time to full contract (minimum 38 weeks per year)
About Us:
Ace Children's Occupational Therapy Ltd provides paediatric OT services across Hampshire, North Surrey, and South Berkshire, for ages 2-25 years in the private and public sector. Our services include EHCP assessments, treatment interventions, parent training workshops, school transition visits, and expert witness representation. With a focus on individual needs, we offer high-quality interventions and collaborate with various professionals for holistic treatment. The majority of our clients are on the autistic spectrum, many with sensory needs as well as learning disabilities, specific learning difficulties and other co-occurring conditions, whether these be developmental, neurological or chromosomal.
The Role:
We are looking for motivated, proactive Paediatric Occupational Therapists to deliver OT services in various settings including community, schools, homes, clinic, or online. Travel will be required as our services are primarily delivered in community settings but we encourage hybrid working where possible.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct standard & EHCP OT assessments and write reports
2. Provide therapy support, guidance, goals, and regular reviews of progress
3. Maintain high-quality clinical notes and records
4. Liaise with parents, agencies, and other professionals
5. Mentor OT students and adhere to Ace COT policies
6. Undergo regular, in-house clinical supervision
7. Attend such training as Ace COT sees fit
8. Ensure awareness of, and adherence to, Ace COT policies and procedures and refresh self regularly
Requirements:
1. Minimum Band 6 or 7
2. BSc Degree in Occupational Therapy
3. HCPC accreditation and RCoT membership
4. Valid DBS and driving licence
5. 2-4 years' experience in paediatric OT or relevant fields
6. Good IT skills and knowledge of GDPR legislation
7. Effective communication skills and ability to work autonomously
8. Additional qualifications in sensory integration advantageous
9. Prior knowledge of standardised assessment tests such as Sensory Profiles, M-ABC, BOT, BEERY, GOAL
