Monarch Education are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with an identified pupil with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs on a one to one basis. You will be supporting a pupil in Year 4 with an EHC who requires behavioural support in the classroom to promote their inclusion. It is essential that the right candidate has experience of dealing with high level disruption and other behavioural issues in a classroom or specialist setting. You will need to be motivated to ensure the pupil remains focused so they make progress. You need to be confident building effective relationships with pupils with behavioural needs, helping to keep them engaged in their learning. If you have undertaken Team Teach training, this would be an advantage but is not essential. The school is looking for somebody who will have a confident approach and will be committed to that pupil's progress and inclusion. The right candidate will be motivational and respond to the needs of the pupil while ensuring they learn, are engaged and motivated. The successful applicant will have patience and experience using positive behaviour management to motivate and focus pupils.
