We are a local brewery with five existing pubs and bars in Bollington, Macclesfield, Congleton and Poynton with a Taproom that has recently open at our new brewery site in Macclesfield. We have vacancies for General Managers in a number of our pubs, all located within easy reach of each other in North East Cheshire Macclesfield is a prosperous market town, only 20 minutes from Manchester, at the foot of the Peak District hills. We serve our own beer alongside national and local craft beers, wines and cocktails. The Fountain has its onsite coffee roastery, kitchen and bar, From coffee at 10am, a late morning brunch, to cocktails in the afternoon and craft beer in the evening, we have it covered. We already have significant experience of running quality community pubs and bars and due to internal promotion we need a proactive, experienced manager to join our team. The perfect General Manager will: Be a confident decision maker focused on providing a fun, welcoming and community led environment Passionate about excellent customer service, food and drink, you will be no stranger to a busy hospitality environment, while being enthusiastic and motivated You will be a team player who is a fast learner, adaptable and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Have experience of building and managing a team Have a big personality: enthusiastic and a fun-loving character Have a hands-on, ‘can do’ attitude Have a genuine passion for beer but also have experience of what is needed to create a relaxed coffee venue during the day and everything in between. Be innovative with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to see the bags of potential in this gem Be fully responsible for the smooth running of the cafe bar, staff management and training, along with ordering and stock control.
