Role Responsibilities:
* Daily cleaning of all areas in accordance with the Units schedules and specifications, using appropriate equipment, chemicals and work methods.
* To ensure documentation is completed in line with the daily/weekly housekeeping cleaning schedule.
* To undertake laundry duties as and when required, including operation of the laundry equipment, this involves sorting, sluicing, washing, drying, ironing and storing.
* To undertake the cleaning of the client’s rooms including dusting as and when required and in accordance with the housekeeping cleaning schedule.
* To undertake the cleaning of the unit, this will involve use of electrical equipment e.g. vacuum cleaners, floor polishers and carpet cleaners.
* To ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned in the appropriate manner. Report any maintenance problems to the Manager immediately after a problem occurs, ensuring that an accurate record is made.
* Ensure segregation and prompt removal of waste to designated collection points, in accordance with the Company’s Safe Waste Handling Procedures.
* To observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, courtesy and consideration to all clients, colleagues and visitors to the unit.
* To always maintain the confidentiality of information regarding clients, in accordance with Iris Care Group’s Confidentiality Policy.
* To work as a member of the staff team, co-operate fully and communicate with all team members to help provide a fulfilling environment so that clients can strive to develop their full potential.
* To promote a positive image of the unit and the organisation, by always being professional.
* To attend all statutory training requirements and personal development training activities.
