RPS are currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil / Highway Technician to join our progressive business and service our clients. This role will be within the infrastructure team which could include Aviation or Highway based projects.

About The Design Business:
RPS Design Division delivers projects across multiple, niche sectors which include Aviation, Highways, Civils, Structures, Architecture and more as we strive to achieve the right balance between form and function when faced with competing priorities around sustainability, materiality, cost and constructability. Digitalisation is at the core of our delivery model allowing our clients and their stakeholders to really experience our designs right from project concept stage and through drawing on expertise spanning decades, industries and disciplines, we assist clients to harmonise design drivers through inspired engineering, architecture and development services.
What you'll be doing:
Lead for the production of 3D models using the Civil 3D modelling software
Convert 3D drawings into detailed designs
As the project lead, efficiently coordinate the production of detailed drawing and specification output applying expert technical knowledge in line with relevant legislation and industry standards
Collaborate on design models, calculations and sketches with other design disciplines
Assist in overseeing drawing production and verify work quality from colleagues
Assist in the review of consultants' and contractors'' design proposals
Manage the upload and download of documents within the document management systems
Adhere to BIM protocols and office drawing standards
Attend and contribute to project and technical meetings
Attend site inspections and produce surveys when required
To be successful in this role you will preferably be experienced within the Aviation or Highways sector with a HND.
Additionally, you will:
Be proficient in creating Civil 3D models and extracting sections and quantities from the model
Be experienced in the use of CAD drawing, 3D modelling and BIM coordination
Able to use relevant design analysis software
Able to demonstrate technical knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
Demonstrate commercial awareness and of time and budget implications
