We are looking for a Technical Manager to join the Accounts Team at Thermatic Technical FM. As a Thermatic Technical Manager you will be a member of the Account team. The Account Team’s main aim is to deliver agreed services to our clients with the upmost standard and efficiency, whilst maintaining and delivering all cost lines. As a Technical Manager, you will support this purpose by providing technical quotations and delivery of minor works whilst offering technical support and guidance to support the management of contract/s, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently and driving continuous improvement. Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Essential: Minimum 7 years previous experience as a HVAC engineer (Commercial gas / AC) Minimum 3 years as Technical Manager Broad technical knowledge across other disciplines Technical Qualifications (F-Gas/Gas Safe/NICEIC/Building Services) Safety Qualifications (CSCS/IOSH/NEBOSH/Risk Assessment) Desirable: HNC/HND in Building Services Technical awareness ILM – team leader Responsibilities include: Produce technical quotations and assessments while assuring the quality of information received by site engineers for submission to the clients Manage the delivery of quoted works within your client base, end to end, with the support of contract administration staff Manage the safety of quoted works with Risk Assessments and other relevant documentations. Support with responses to questions and requests for information – internally and/or externally Drive Minor Works through existing infrastructure to facilitate delivery and completion of Minor Works throughout the assigned accounts Reviewing WIP reports across client base to identify and produce quotes for our customers on HVAC work Work alongside our Projects department delivering smaller scale works and supporting on bigger projects when needed Drive operational delivery throughout the team Identify opportunities with processes, providing solutions to drive continuous improvements Review client portals, highlighting any concerns or opportunities, manage noncompliance across your team Confirm booking of works with customer prior to the work being undertaken Attend site visits when needed to solve technical issues Actively identify opportunities on site to generate revenue Work with account team to manage all relevant jobs through the entire process, from logging of the job to invoicing Attend client sites to conduct investigations and surveys Work alongside compliance & HSE managers to deliver centralised solutions of equal quality across all sectors ensuring quality is maintained. Seasonal work load identification and assisting with resource Ensure current supply chain are fit for purpose to maximise efficiency on return jobs Identify failure points on client sites and proactively producing quotations for such Review all reactive calls across the business to identify patterns (seasonal or equipment) and record failures on reports Use of Power BI reports to present data to clients Drive Net Zero and Carbon Reports to ensure clients remain compliant Our People We’re a business built on people and it’s the people that make us different from other companies.
