Are you an experienced Senior Business Travel Consultant?
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Business Travel Consultant to join our client based in Hampshire. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing travel services to the existing travel clients.
The Job:
1. Work with minimal supervision within the existing Business Travel Team.
2. Assist in the implementation of new business.
3. Mentor and assist other Consultants/Trainees in the team.
4. Understand and work within the agreed Service Level Agreements for our individual client base.
5. Quote and process airfares, including domestic, European, long-haul, route deals, low-cost, NDC, and consolidated options in both the UK and overseas markets.
6. Provide a minimum of 3 well-defined and informed choices to all clients.
7. Search and offer hotel, car hire, ferries, and ancillary products such as car parking and chauffeur drive in the quote process.
8. Confidently arrange ticket reissues and refunds, including manual fare builds, manual reissues, and manual refunds, and retrain other staff on these processes.
9. Manage and maintain your Outlook mailbox and all other mailboxes set up for clients.
10. Create and maintain client profiles in the GDS.
11. Demonstrate a good working method which proves prioritisation and organisation of workflow is understood.
12. Proactively contribute to staff meetings and job chats within the department.
13. Supervise consultants in the department and assist with training where needed/asked.
14. Have a good understanding of the group’s health and safety procedures and know where to find information relating to this and group procedures via the company's intranet.
15. Ensure all back office reject queues are cleared and assist other staff with clearing their rejects. Maintain all Sabre Q's throughout the day so they are cleared.
16. Familiarise yourself with every Q and understand why the booking is there.
17. Invoice out hotel, car, and ancillary billbacks.
18. Undertake any admin jobs as directed by your line manager.
19. Attend any client visits as directed by a Manager/Director.
20. Attend any industry events as directed by a Manager/Director.
The Person:
1. Minimum of 3 years Business Travel experience in a Trainee or Consultant role.
2. Working knowledge of a GDS - SABRE essential.
3. Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel.
4. Knowledge of a back-office system.
The Package:
Salary - £28,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus
