The Role
As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of equipment and facilities within both centres maintaining an excellent environment helping to grow our service delivery. You will work closely with the Centre Director and lab leads to maintain high standards within the lab and coordinate lab administration across the centre. Our Centres facilities are collaborative spaces with 20 academics based within the centre along with other research, skills and commercial projects being delivered.
There are opportunities to be involved in the delivery of projects aligned to your experience, co-ordinate events and visits to the centre along with the opportunity to learn about electrification technologies working closely with industry experts, gaining hands-on experience and deepening your technical expertise.
As Senior Engineer you will:
Provide broad rangingskilled engineering capabilityand support to the Centre Director in the management and administration of thelaboratories within the centre.
Support the Lab Leads, working in collaboration with the Leadership team to ensure that health and safety is managed and embedded into standard operating procedures in line with Centre Policies.
Coordinate with estates and external stakeholders in the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Coordinate with internaland external stakeholders in the delivery of the centres research, skills and commercial projects.
Our Successful Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest and passion for electrification technologies. Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering subject, you will be organised, disciplined and enjoy completing and finishing tasks. You will have proven experience in monitoring and delivering engineering projects along with practical knowledge of electrical systems.
An excellent communicator with the ability to co-ordinate a diverse range of customer requests both internal and external, while always ensuring safe operations within team capacity.
