This post will involve providing a range of evidence-based care and interventions to service users within the eating disorders service to support recovery. The post holder will also be involved in service evaluation and audit under the supervision of clinical psychologists within the team. They will participate in the provision of specialist assessments and use of outcome measures alongside team members may also be required. The team can provide opportunities to participate in supervision and relevant training across a range of areas. The post will be based in Belper, although covers all of Derbyshire, so some travel will be required. It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract. Main duties of the job We have a new opportunity within our Eating Disorder Service for an Assistant Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team for a period of 6 months. The role is varied and provides scope to develop further skills and knowledge of working with service users experiencing an eating disorder and associated mental health difficulties. There will be opportunities to link in with the Trust's clinical psychology structure and assistant psychologists working in other clinical areas.
