Are you a recent Graduate who is considering a long-term career in Teaching? Begin your teaching career as an Academic Mentor, supporting students in your chosen subject area in a secondary school in Brentwood.
The School and Role:
We are working with Secondary Schools in Essex who are seeking knowledgeable Graduates to work as Academic Mentors and Teaching Assistants. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to support students 1 to 1 or in small groups, creating and delivering subject specific sessions during and after school.
Working in a secondary school you will have access to excellent resources and mentorship from qualified teachers and the opportunity to gain paid experience before becoming a fully qualified teacher. A rewarding role for a graduate who wants to give back to students in the local Essex community in Secondary schools in Brentwood.
Requirements:
1. A bachelor’s degree in a core subject or equivalent education.
2. A passion for supporting students in their learning and development.
3. Experience working with children and young people.
4. An ambition to become a fully qualified secondary school teacher.
