Human Resources Business Partner Location: This role is based full time in our head office, SY5 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: up to £34,000 per year Role overview: Helping our managers grow, coach and lead their teams, you will provide realistic, pragmatic HR advice on issues such as performance management, attendance, timekeeping, disciplinary, and grievance hearings. This will involve minute taking in hearings and liaising with senior management to ensure they are kept up to date with the progress of investigations and disciplinaries. You will need to communicate effectively with the Finance team to ensure they have all the necessary payroll information in a timely manner. You will support the Head of HR and deputise in their absence. Company overview: New Reflexions are a childcare organisation providing care, education, and therapy services to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives resulting in emotional behavioural difficulties and requiring a high level of intervention. Key areas of responsibility Support the Head of HR to review, update, communicate and embed the company HR processes. Support and advise our home managers and head teachers in all HR matters and ensure accurate records are maintained. Process any changes to roles and internal promotions, including confirmation letters. Ensure line managers effectively manage probationary periods by issuing timely reminders, advice and follow up with appropriate paperwork Work with line managers to ensure appraisals are completed effectively and on time Conduct any HR training as required Review and collate investigation packs, liaise with the RI and complete administrative tasks related to the investigatory process (letters etc.) To monitor all sickness and absence; liaising with Medical Practitioners as and when required Ensure return-to-work interviews are carried and the RTW forms are completed to a satisfactory standard Support managers with welfare meetings and actions required from them Monitor and manage long term and short term, frequent absences and guide the managers on the processes to follow Manage, review, and update the registration of all care staff to all relevant bodies such as Care Council for Wales and SSSC Maintain the school SCR in conjunction with Head Teachers of New Reflexions Schools Provide data requested by the Head of HR in order to populate reports required by internal and external stakeholders and the board Any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time Key skills and experience You will be qualified or studying towards CIPD level 5. An excellent organiser, you will have the ability to work on your own initiative in a structured way, to prioritise a wide range of activities and use available resources to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines. You will have the ability to build effective relationships, both internally and externally, showing sensitivity for others’ viewpoints. Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills are also key as are expert skills in Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint). 3 -5 years solid practical experience in a HR Advisor role in a fast paced, evolving environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ideally you will have worked in a care industry, or similar and had experience of working in an oransiton that needs to adhere to external regulatory bodies, such as OFSTED, LADO, SSCW etc Benefits Fully paid 2 week induction training including First Aid Level 3.
