THE COMPANY:
I am currently recruiting a Building Services Manager for a Tier 1 contractor based in Hampshire. The turnover for the region is approximately £130 million with project sizes ranging from £10 million through to £30 million. They have a very low turnover of staff, which they attribute to the truly collaborative approach they have to each client and project.
THE ROLE: Building Services Manager
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of M&E services during tender, pre-construction, construction & commissioning stages.
Preconstruction responsibilities include:
1. Vetting of sub-contractors tender documents.
2. Project planning input in conjunction with Project Planner and Project Manager.
3. Undertake analysis and management of team resources.
4. Prepare, update and manage the site's 'Project Management Plan'.
5. Monitor and review sub-contractors against pre-construction / installation programmes.
6. Chair weekly or bi-weekly rolling progress meetings with principal sub-contractors.
7. Manage / maintain records of all sub-contractors working drawings.
8. Manage requests for information.
9. Carry out Quality Control inspections for the entire services installation.
10. Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out and witnessed accordingly.
11. Ensure 'as installed drawing' and O&M Manual are completed / issued.
12. Management of projects defects / aftercare.
13. Liaise with your fellow Building Services team and Construction colleagues.
