Job summary Mattishall and Lenwade Surgeries have an excellent opportunity for a salaried GP to join a friendly, high achieving and supportive practice, providing the full range of rural family medicine, commencing October 2024. The position is to cover 6 sessions per week andis open to newly qualified and experienced GPs. This is a superb opportunity to build a portfolio career, hence an interest in minor operations & joint injectionswould be desirable but not essential. Main duties of the job Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems; Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
