Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and results-oriented Interim Financial Controller to join our team during a key transitional period. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring strong financial control, delivering timely financial insights, and driving financial efficiency. You will also lead our transition to an improved digital finance solution.
Main Duties of the Job
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Leadership Team, you will provide essential oversight of our financial operations, maintain governance and compliance, and support our strategic financial objectives. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a leader who thrives on making a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead day-to-day financial management, ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.
2. Provide detailed financial reports, forecasts, and insights to the Leadership Team.
3. Oversee budget management and monitor financial performance across the organisation.
4. Lead the production of interim reports, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
6. Drive the adoption of an advanced digital financial system.
7. Mentor and support the Budgets and Accounts Manager, helping them develop and manage financial operations effectively.
8. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and manage risk.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
2. Proven experience in a senior financial role, ideally as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or similar within a complex organisation, preferably in the healthcare or services sector.
3. Strong technical accounting skills with a track record of financial control, reporting, and compliance.
4. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
5. Proven experience in implementing digital financial solutions or transitioning finance systems, with strong knowledge of modern financial technologies and their application.
6. Demonstrable experience in identifying and implementing financial improvements and operational efficiencies.
7. Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements, audit processes, and risk management.
