Overview
We are a Lubrication Wholesaler servicing automotive, heavy duty, industrial, farming and construction industries within southwestern/ midwestern Ontario, and Niagara. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled DZ Driver/ Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and commercial driving, with a strong focus on safety and reliability. Training will be provided to operate special bulk lubricant pumping equipment.
Responsibilities
* Drive company vehicles (box truck/ cargo van) to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Safely delivery case goods (cases, pails, drum) and pump off bulk oil to fill tanks at customer locations.
* Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
* Load and unload freight from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock management.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
Requirements
* Valid DZ driver's license; (Minimum 3 year experience).
* Must have a clean driver abstract.
* Excellent navigation skills and a strong sense of direction, particularly within Southwestern/Midwestern Ontario, and Niagara.
* Must be comfortable driving in Ontario weather conditions all year round.
* Good physical condition with ability to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) as required by the job duties, good endurance.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with clients and team members
* Familiarity with freight handling procedures and inventory management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
* Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts is an asset.
