Position Overview: As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our internal team. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This position offers the opportunity for hybrid working, allowing you to balance remote work with in-office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
2. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications.
3. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve networking and connectivity issues.
5. Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory through asset management.
6. Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
7. Assist in the setup and management of user accounts and permissions.
8. Support the implementation of security measures to protect company data and systems.
9. Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance IT infrastructure.
10. Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical solutions in a clear and user-friendly manner.
Qualifications:
11. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar 1st/2nd Line Support role.
12. Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
13. Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
14. Experience with asset management and maintaining accurate inventory records.
15. Knowledge of IT security best practices.
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
18. IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
Salary:
19. £30,000 - £35,000 base salary
