Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The post holder will represent the Innovation & Impact team of the Department for Research & Innovation and will provide a proactive role in the delivery of support for Research Impact. This will be primarily within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Built Environment (CEBE), although the post holder may occasionally support Impact activities across the University as required by the Impact Manager. Working closely with the Impact Manager, Head of Innovation and Enterprise, Director of Research and School Research Directors, the post holder will play a key role in how impact is identified, captured, measured, achieved and promoted across the faculty and showcased to relevant external audiences. - ABOUT YOU - 1. You will contribute to the implementation of Ulster's strategy to maximise its ability to both achieve impact and its ability to communicate its impact to appropriate audiences, by proactively promoting the impact agenda across the faculty, optimising and keeping under review the mechanisms by which impact is created, devising and implementing means for identifying, curating, making accessible and updating information about the impact created by the faculty's research. 2. You will develop and maintain effective and mutually beneficial relationships and collaborations with public, private and third sector funding bodies, research partners, research users, other agencies and stakeholders to maximise understanding and exploitation of the faculty's research impact activities. 3. You will develop initiatives to build or enhance meaningful relationships with external stakeholders and research users to ensure that the faculty's multi-disciplinary research has a positive effect on our civic society.
