There are still plenty of additional upcoming change plans and projects, which the Senior Finance Officer will play a large part of.
Job Description
In this busy and varied Senior Finance Officer role based in Bradford, you will:
* Provide management information services to multiple stakeholders and budget holders within the organisation, ensuring best value principles and risk management is maintained.
* Undertake complex accountancy work to support stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
* Ensure that all budgeting and year-end accounting procedures are complied with.
* Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make informed operational decisions.
* Support service areas and budget holders by providing a comprehensive financial support service including budget profiling and forecasting, linking to performance management information.
* Undertake complex financial activities within the Finance Business Partnering Team including project work.
* Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the public sector.
* Proven ability in preparing reports and financial analysis.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
* Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of ethics and confidentiality.
