Description Join our team as Transport Operations Manager within our Group Transport sector, for our customer Sainsburys, based at Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. You will lead a team of Transport Team Managers, Clerks and Driver colleagues, to ensure that the relevant delivery, productivity, and financial performance indicators are met and to input the overall depot management team as required to deliver business objectives, to be best in class for our customer. This is a great opportunity for you as a leader to showcase your efficient management of all transport labour and assets, deliver agreed transport productivity levels and other departmental targets, to ensure stores receive deliveries on time and provide the stores with accuracy and quality. Key Responsibilities · Internal and external stakeholder communication including presentations to the client, conveying facts and ideas in a clear and articulated manner. · Encourage two-way feedback and ideas within the team to improve practises and working environment. · Proactively encourage a positive and constructive relationship on site with the union and representatives. · Drive CI and hold high personal standards and integrity. · Lead, coach and develop the team. · Responsible for relevant delivery in productivity and KPI performances within transport. · Deliver on time delivery within H&S standards. · H&S responsibilities. What will you bring to the team? · CPC Required · In depth experience in transport operations at management level. · Full knowledge of transport legislation. · Experienced of people management and leadership. · Commercially focused. · Experience of working towards strict deadlines. · Experience of a unionised environment is beneficial.
