Job Title: Finance Assistant\n Type of Business: Public Sector\n Location: Fully Remote\n Hourly Rate: £12.31 - £13.14 depending on experience\n Start Date: ASAP\n Length of Contract: Initially 6 months\n Hours: 37.5\n\nGI Group are now seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to our Public Sector, healthcare client. The Finance Assistant will support the Purchase to Pay process within the wider Financial Systems and Services team and in the context of a large organisation. The post holder will work within a remote team and will work to help ensure the purchase of goods and services runs smoothly.\n\nMain Duties of the Finance Assistant:\n\nBe responsible for ensuring invoice workflows both PO and Non-PO are cleared regularly, and queries are resolved promptly.\nBe the main point of contact for invoice queries from both stakeholders and regional Finance Teams and ensure queries are dealt with promptly and seen through to resolution.\nUndertake housekeeping tasks across all teams on a task type basis to ensure that the ledger and payment mechanisms are maintained in a timely manner.\nWork with the wider team and suppliers to resolve PO related queries\nWork to resolve queries where invoices are on hold and determine the correct course of action to progress the invoices for payment.\nManage key suppliers, monitor potential issues and ensure the business is supported to resolve to enable\n Role Requirements:\n\nGood level of education to at least 'A' level / NVQ Level 3 and or equivalent experience.\nPrevious experience of working in an administrative environment using computerised data systems.\nExperience of working in a health care environment.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.\nClear communicator with good writing, data entry and telephone skills ensuring accuracy.\nProblem solving skills - ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nAble to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own workload to set deadlines.Hiring Contact: Joanne Smith\n Agency: GI Group\n\nIf you would like any further information about any vacancies before applying, please feel free to contact \n\nShould you require any support or assistance, please contact your local Gi Group office.\n\nGi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited are proud founding members of Menopause in business, pledge members for Neurodiversity in business, Disability committed members, Silver status pledge members for the Armed Forces Covenant, and Bronze trail blazers for Racial Equality matters.
