Job Title: Locum Physiotherapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Derby Working Hours : Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 ,37,5hours per week Rate: £24- £27 We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working within the NHS, specifically on Acute Medical and Elderly Wards. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse caseload, and a proactive approach to discharge planning and patient care. What will your responsibilities be In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of elderly patients with a variety of multipathologies and dependencies, including fast track cases. You will attend handovers, plan and prioritize your day, and complete frail elderly assessments. Your duties will include problem-solving, carrying out interventions, and discharge planning in response to estimated dates of discharge. You will identify and issue necessary equipment, work closely with Occupational Therapy, and delegate tasks to assistants. Liaison with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), carers, and families is essential, as is the completion of statistics and access to Extra Med. You will also be responsible for making referrals to community services in a fast-paced environment with a quick turnover of patients.
