Eden Scott's client is seeking Portfolio Administrator to work in a new team which is based in Edinburgh who has a strong understanding of Portfolio Administration and financial statements?. This is a hands-on role that involves working with investment portfolio statements and requires a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: Examining investment portfolio statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, verifying transactions such as asset purchases, sales, dividends, and interest payments. Identifying discrepancies and liaising with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues. Ensuring accurate reconciliation of transactions - Comparing and matching transactions recorded in internal systems with external statements to ensure consistency. Investigating and resolving discrepancies, ensuring that all financial movements align with company records and accounting principles. Applying knowledge of debits and credits to maintain accurate records - Recording financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles, ensuring correct application of debits and credits for all transactions. Assisting in maintaining accurate general ledger balances and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Taking accounts to a Trial Balance - Preparing financial records to the trial balance stage, ensuring that all debits and credits are balanced before financial statements are prepared. Assisting in identifying errors and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy. Handling financial data entry and assisting with reporting - Entering and updating financial data with precision, ensuring the integrity of information recorded in internal systems. Assisting in preparing financial reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the wider team with administrative and analytical tasks - Providing general administrative support, including document management, data gathering, and report preparation. Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends, and presenting insights to the team. Assisting in the development and refinement of financial processes to improve efficiency.
