We are seeking a dedicated Curriculum Manager to ensure the delivery of all practical engineering training complies with health and safety protocols and is aligned with technical specifications. This role is critical in maintaining our high standards and ensuring that apprentices receive the best educational experience possible.
Responsibilities
* Safety Compliance: Collaborate with our Health and Safety Officer to maintain workshop safety standards, ensuring apprentices understand and adhere to health and safety protocols.
* Quality Assurance: Oversee the delivery of qualifications to meet Awarding Organisation, partner employers, and Make UK standards, including the development of schemes of work and related documentation.
* Team Management: Lead and manage a team of tutors, ensuring effective workload organization, discipline, and support for their professional development.
* Resource Management: Ensure that all physical resources are maintained, the workshop environment is well-kept, and necessary materials are available for optimal learning.
* Continuous Professional Development: Design and implement a robust CPD cycle for tutors to keep their knowledge up-to-date and engaging.
* Learner Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and manage the progress of students, ensuring effective communication between teaching staff, employers, and apprentices.
* Motivational Learning Environment: Create and sustain a stimulating learning environment that encourages skill acquisition and knowledge development.
* Quality Assurance Collaboration: Work with the Lead Quality Assurance Manager to ensure teaching and learning meet OFSTED, LSC, Awarding Body, and Centre standards.
* Disciplinary Management: Uphold and enforce learner discipline in compliance with the Centre’s disciplinary codes.
Requirements
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
* Time-served apprentice with relevant City and Guilds (Part 3) qualification, or full Technical Certificate/National Certificate or higher.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; teacher qualified (minimum PTTLS), A1 or equivalent qualification, with the ability to work towards V1 qualification within 12 months.
Business and Industry Knowledge:
* Proven managerial experience in a medium-large engineering educational setting.
* Strong background in the manufacturing/engineering industry or direct involvement in apprenticeship delivery/T-levels.
* Expertise in engineering/manufacturing qualifications.
Leadership and People Development Skills:
* Proven ability to motivate and organize a skilled team.
* Experience working collaboratively with leaders across the business and sector to enhance quality of delivery and health and safety compliance.
