Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide personalised assistance to students to enhance their learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the classroom teacher in managing and preparing the learning environment.
* Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Work with small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning material.
* Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
* Supervise students during break times, excursions, and other school activities.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
* Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is desirable but no essential.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is preferred but again not essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
