We have a great opportunity to join the team as a Security Officer working for a well-known company in Surrey.
The rate of pay is £17.94 per hour.
This will be a full-time contract, working 42.5 hours a week.
When on site you will be covering the following shift timings: 8:00-16:30 Mon-Fri.
You will be managing a team of 5 who are on a shift pattern of day and night shifts: 4 on and 4 off. Day shifts are from 07:00-19:00 and Night shifts from 19:00-07:00.
Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer, you will ensure the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
1. Screening of external visitors for clients and tenants.
2. Visitor management.
3. Issuing temporary passes to contractors and visitors on site.
4. Get Access and Saver registrar.
5. Security presence internally and externally.
6. Monitoring the S2 alarms and CCTV; any issues found with the system need to be reported as soon as possible to resolve the problem so day-to-day tasks can be carried out to a high standard.
7. Monitoring security inbox and personal emails.
8. Managing staff: scheduling, uniform, hospitality, professionalism, patrols, equipment, reports, and timings.
9. Lost property management.
10. Responding to incidents; incident reports are to be submitted and available to the key points of contact in a timely fashion.
11. Ensure the Security team are logging deliveries.
12. Challenging suspicious behavior.
13. Reporting to the site security manager.
Weekly Responsibilities:
1. Weekly meeting with the security manager and site FM to discuss projects/events and concerns we may have on site, including areas for improvement as a team.
2. External patrols of the fence line, fault finding, and reporting to onsite engineers.
3. Testing of the site SAT phone.
4. Keeping card printer operational.
5. Granting access to authorized contractors into the mobility cage.
6. Performing security liaison with building management and local law enforcement.
Monthly Responsibilities:
1. All door inspection.
2. Monthly security report meeting with SM.
3. Monthly meeting with the client.
4. Equipment checks, including temporary cards and team medic box.
5. Lost property management.
6. System health checks.
7. S2 reports.
8. Monthly training modules issued to the team.
Quarterly Responsibilities:
1. Key audits of small and large cabinets.
2. SOP changes/improvements.
3. SOP checks with the security team ensuring they understand the SOPs, AIs, and how to deal with different incidents.
4. Reviewing access control groups.
Our Perfect Worker
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.
The successful candidate will hold a valid SIA License and have experience working in the security industry, along with Team Leader experience.
You must have a driving license and access to your own vehicle due to the location being in a rural area.
