We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Scrum Leader to join our team. This role is located in Manchester (hybrid).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Build and coach high performing teams and ensure continuous value delivery
Ensures the development process “Scrum” is understood and enacted
Oversees the POM team-level process and coaches the Pod team members; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation
Keep team organized and effectively facilitate agile meetings to ensure full Pod team engagement (stand-up, review, retrospective and planning meetings)
Removes development impediments (e.g., Pod team communication barriers, logistic challenges)
Enables close cooperation across all Pod team members and foster collaboration with other roles such as Release Train Engineer
Shields the Pod team from external interference and ensures the Pod team is functional and focused on the sprint goal(s)
Fosters self-sufficiency of the Pod team and is not a crutch for the Pod team
Ensures continuous improvement of the pod’s maturity, by implementation of agile metrics to effectively track, report pod progress and adopt best practices
Implements standards set by the POM Agile Practice and ensure adherence to BNY audit/compliance requirements
Actively engages in Agile Practice community events and contribute to the knowledge base
Ensure delivery of a quality increment, JIRA hygiene is maintained and reflects actual progress
Collaborate with RTE – for Group and Engineering lead – for POD (accountable) for Group and POD release management activities.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Deep knowledge and experience with agile ways of working
Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Professional Scrum Master
Confident and skilled at identifying and navigating through roadblocks / impediments
Unafraid to “go to bat” for the team
Communicates openly and effectively, resolving and managing conflicts while maintaining a positive environment.
Demonstrates leadership traits such as integrity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to change.

Strong collaborator, ensuring key stakeholder are covered and there is continuous progress being made towards sprint goal and group OKRs
