Job summary Salford Care Organisation has vacancies for Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist to support and develop the Neuroradiology service. All sub-specialty interests can be supported, but we would particularly welcome applicants with an interest in Skull-Base or Head and Neck Radiology. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in MDT and also contribute to the diagnostic Neuroradiology on call. We are committed to developing a flexible approach to job planned activity, including home reporting and all of our consultants now have home workstations. A new PACS has been implemented across the NCA in February 2021, as part of a wider collaboration with hospitals across Greater Manchester, leading to region-wide image sharing. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be a diagnostic Neuroradiologist, joining our current team of 13 Neuroradiologists, which includes 4 interventional Neuroradiologists. Sub-specialty Neuroradiology interests are welcomed and will be accommodated where possible depending on the interests of the candidate and the requirements of the department. The successful candidate will be based at Salford Care Organisation but may be required to do limited sessions at another NCA site, particularly where the candidate's subspecialty skills are needed. You will contribute to the general diagnostic Neuroradiologywork of the department, including on-call, currently set as a 1 in 10 rota. SCO is a busy Neurosciences centre with Neurology, Neurosurgery and spinal services, in addition to the newly build Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital. There is a 24/7 thrombectomy service at SCO that our interventional colleagues provide.
