The Department
The Alfred has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Communications Officer to join the Health Information Services (HIS) team, which manages the iMedX dictation system. The Clinical Communications team in HIS is responsible for processing over 6,000 outpatient transcriptions per month, ensuring that all dictated transcriptions reach their destination, i.e., correct Doctor / GP, correct encounter, etc. The team is also responsible for actioning any failed distribution of discharge summaries and maintaining various clinical databases.
The Role
The successful applicant must have demonstrated excellent, clear, and effective communication skills. The ability to prioritise tasks, promote and maintain good customer relations, professional behaviour, and team spirit is also required.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
* Year 12 Victorian Certificate of Education
* Previous clerical experience, preferably in a Hospital environment
* Highly developed organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
