Job Title: Communications Advisor
Location: Preston or Barrow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing guidance and support to the functions on Communications Strategy deployment, including embedding communications activities.
* Assisting managers, and sometimes leads, in development and effective delivery of communications which enhance business performance.
* Being responsible for the creative input / the production of materials (print / digital) collateral for campaigns and initiatives.
* Supporting the Communications Manager in the development and delivery of effective and integrated communications plans, leading on some of the simpler aspects.
* Building effective and robust communications networks through customer relationship management to support delivery and improve effectiveness of communications.
* Writing and sub-editing communications for bulletins, newsletters, intranet, internet, and local media.
* Contributing to a range of effective public relations activities using appropriate communications channels to build positive relationships.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Proven experience in stakeholder management/business partnering within a communications role.
* Competent writer / journalist.
* Evidence of delivering results and meeting customer requirements.
* Knowledge of effective communications practices and channels.
Desirable:
* Understanding of the core principles and techniques of marketing communications.
* Defence sector knowledge.
* IPR of CIM qualified.
* Digital and videography skills.
