Sandwell Children's Trust are recruiting for a full-time Service Support Assistant.The role will entail providing extensive administrative support to practitioners within the Strengthening Families Services and working closely with the six localities. The successful candidate will be managing and triaging allocations of new child/ren known to the service and arranging the TAF meetings. Working closely with partner agencies such as schools, ensuring demographic and the child’s file is accurate adhering to GDPR, arranging required meetings and supporting with minute taking and compiling closure letters to families’.
We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people.
The successful candidate must be IT literate, have good communication and telephone skills, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload. Also be able to work independently and as part of a team. You must also be prepared to travel to locations across Sandwell Borough.
Admin tasks will include:
* Setting up Family meetings.
* Completing finance tasks – such as ordering items for the practitioner/or the family. Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
* Updating Children's Social Care systems.
* Taking and producing of accurate minutes.
* Maintaining files and record systems including scanning and uploading of documents. Ensuring that tasks allocated are completed accurately and within allocated timescale.
What you need to be successful in this role:
* Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a business admin role.
* Will hold NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience of finance and procurement would be an advantage.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail.
* Have the ability to plan & organise diaries.
