About the role…
The holder of the role is to be responsible for efficiently packing products for shipment or storage. This role ensures that items are properly packaged, labelled, and prepared for delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Packing Products: Carefully pack goods into boxes or containers, ensuring items are securely packed and labelled according to specifications.
2. Quality Control: Inspect products for obvious defects or damages, ensuring that only quality items are packed and shipped.
3. Inventory Management: Organize and label packages for easy identification, assisting with stock checks and inventory management when necessary.
4. Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment for both you and your colleagues.
5. Document Handling: Complete necessary paperwork, including shipping labels, packing slips, and inventory records.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet packing targets and assist with warehouse operations as needed.
7. Machine Operation: Use packing machines and other tools to assist in packing when required.
8. Shipping Preparation: Prepare products for shipment by adhering to packaging guidelines, weight limits, and shipping deadlines.
What we’re looking for…
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Previous experience in a warehouse or packing role.
2. Experience with packaging machinery or tools.
3. Holding a valid Forklift certification.
