Job Description
Essential Duties:
1. Assist in preparing contracts and change orders with clients and sub-contractors.
2. Conduct site visits and generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
3. Produce full site plans, calculations, and reports and resolve complex design challenges with limited direction.
4. Coordinate with sub-consultants.
5. Provide client interaction support.
6. Establish and maintain project, phase, and task level budgets and schedules.
7. Schedule production staff and lead tasks.
8. Prepare responses to construction RFI’s and submittals.
9. Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
10. Demonstrate a practical and functional knowledge of municipal codes.
11. Coordinate and meet with authorities having jurisdiction through all phases of the project.
12. Attend and present at local and state government boards.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Organize and maintain project files.
2. Maintain time sheets daily.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of liability issues related to design.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of construct-ability and complex design.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Experience: 0-5 years of site/civil production, subdivision design, and permitting.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
3. EIT required or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
4. Licenses: P.E. in Civil Engineering.
5. Software: AutoCAD, Carlson and MS Office required; Civil3D, TR-20, TR-55, HydroCAD and other design software a plus.
