Dementia Support Worker - Transform the lives of our resident living with dementia!
* Location: Haviland House, Goring By Sea
* Contracted Hours: 48 hours per week, full-time
* Salary: £13.44 per hour Mon - Fri, £14.08 Sat & £13.44 Sun
* Working Hours: 8pm - 8am, alternative weekends required
About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Care Supervisor to lead and support our care team in ensuring high standards of care for our residents. In this role, you will act as a team leader, manage nightly care routines, oversee staff deployment and maintain the dignity and independence of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and deploy care staff, ensuring smooth operation in the absence of senior colleagues.
* Safely administer medication and maintain competence through regular supervised rounds.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to residents’ personal and social needs.
* Promote the mental and physical well-being of residents through engaging activities.
* Act as a role model, fostering good practices and effective communication among staff.
* Manage the acoustic monitoring system and direct staff appropriately.
* Uphold Guild Care’s policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and confidentiality.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 2 in Care.
* Experience and a passion for supporting people living with Dementia.
* Experience in a care environment and providing personal care.
* A satisfactory DBS check.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Care.
