Job overview
Clinical Fellow ST1/2 equivalent in Emergency Medicine with 15-25% non-clinical time: - Education, Research, Simulation, Trauma, Leadership and purely clinical. Applications are invited for a number of Clinical Fellow posts for a fixed term of 12 months starting from 06 August 2025. Applicants interested in a purely clinical role and also for less than 12 months would be welcome, but preference is given to those who commit for a year. Jobs which are for less than 1 year are purely clinical jobs.
Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post include the following:
* Responsible for all clinical aspects of Emergency work. There is 24/7 Consultant presence in the RSCH ED and 0800-2230 at PRH ED with overnight support from an ED SpR on site at PRH.
* 1-in-3 weekend frequency as a maximum.
* 1-in-5-night frequency as a maximum.
* Attendance in weekly 3-hour teaching sessions.
* Evidence of output for the 15-25% non-clinical project time.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
These posts can be less than full time or full time. Shifts are worked in an annualised way with flexible rostering using @healthrota software. Prior to starting in post, doctors liaise with the rota team regarding the days they want off. The rotas are then built around their requirements as well as those of our patients.

* Basic Medical Degree
* Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
* Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent
* Higher Degree

* Completion of FY2 training
