Hours: 6 hours per week (3 hours on Mondays 6.30pm-9.30pm, 3 hours on alternate Wednesdays 6.30pm-9.30pm and 3 hours flexible on the following week)
Contract: Self-Employed, Permanent

An entertaining individual requires some support accessing activities in the community.
Role Requirements
You will be required to provide support with activities including:
1. meal and recipe planning
2. walking his dog
3. going to local activities
4. accessing clubs
Some personal care may be required intermittently.
You will be required to drive the client’s wheelchair accessible vehicle and therefore must have a full, clean, UK driving licence and be over 25 due to insurance needs.
It is important that you like dogs as the client has a large friendly dog that can be quite lively. You may occasionally need to be with him, this might include taking him for a walk with the client.

The role is subject to interview, references and an enhanced DBS check (paid for by the funding authority if you don't already have one).

The client has been diagnosed with a physical disability, is neurodiverse and has a sensory processing disorder amongst other health conditions. Communication can be variable due to health conditions however at times there may be slurred speech. They sometimes use an AAC talker to aid communication.
The client requires support with all transfers; they use a wheelchair to mobilise.
The client enjoys the cinema, bowling, making blankets, and has a good sense of humour.
