The School of Health, Social Work and Sport is inviting applications for the post of Senior Demonstrator in Sports Coaching and Performance Analysis, to support the primary academic delivery areas of the school. The school is home to a large number of students, enrolled on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a breadth of disciplines. In addition, we have a number of internally renowned research centres to enhance the research-informed ethos of the school.
The role will provide technical support to colleagues by way of demonstrating, practical instruction, and supporting group work with students along with related duties derived from the work of academic staff. All work is carried out under the guidance of the academic leading the sessions in sports coaching performance analysis. The appointee will coordinate analysis suite bookings, equipment loans and attend to general technical/maintenance support for the sports performance analysis suites. They will also have responsibility for monitoring risk assessment. The appointee will work closely with the academic teaching team, students and affiliated sports organisations while students conduct their analysis projects. Candidates with experience of providing performance analysis support in competitive sport environments will be most welcomed.
