Role Overview:
In the role of IT Manager, you will be the linchpin ensuring the seamless operation of IT services across both factory and office environments. This is a chance to shine by supporting site users, enhancing traceability systems, and
ensuring the resilience of the site's IT infrastructure. Under the guidance of the Head Office support team, you will offer leadership and strategic direction to the local IT function, propelling the site into a future where technology
and manufacturing excellence converge.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold the continuous operation of IT services, applying preventative measures to minimise production downtime.
Support and enhance factory floor applications and traceability systems, including computerised product labelling.
Ensure robust and secure IT infrastructure, adapting swiftly to the needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Manage backups, antivirus systems, proxies, monitoring, and patch management effectively.
Lead the development and testing of disaster recovery plans, maintaining alignment with business continuity policies.
Tackle and resolve issues promptly, leveraging internal management systems and processes.
Manage and execute site improvement projects, identifying areas for additional investment and developing compelling business cases to support these initiatives.
Oversee the setup of desktops and laptops, and the installation of operating systems and software, in coordination with the Birmingham Support Team.
Maintain effective communication with IT colleagues in Birmingham and department managers on-site, ensuring collaborative problem-solving.
Provide out-of-hours support as necessary, demonstrating commitment and flexibility.

Demonstrated success in on site IT support, with a solid foundation in network technologies.
Analytical and technical prowess, with evidence of integrating IT services into business operations.
A proactive, dynamic, and motivational character, capable of thriving in a constantly changing landscape.
Exceptional planning, organisation, and adaptability, with a knack for steering through business demands with ease.
ITIL qualifications preferred, underscoring a structured approach to IT service management.
Must possess a full UK driving license and have access to personal transport.
