We are looking for an experienced nurse with transferable clinical & leadership skills to take on the Clinical Team Lead Role for Primary Care Services at HMP Liverpool.
Offender health is an exciting and challenging specialism. The post will oversee a large team of experienced clinicians responsible for the management of acute and long-term conditions. Therefore, experience of leading a multidisciplinary team is essential.
HMP Liverpool is a Category B local reception prison for adult males and young adult offenders, serving the local Liverpool courts. HMP Liverpool has a current operational capacity of 860 with plans to expand this to approximately 1,000 spaces over the next two years as refurbishment work is completed.
As Clinical Team Lead, you would oversee the execution of clinical services that sit within the Primary Care Service Officer. We currently offer an extensive service to the men in our care. Responsibilities:
1. Support the Head of Healthcare in operationally leading the provision of high-quality clinical health care services ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach to the delivery of quality evidence-based practice.
2. Responsible for monitoring daily performance of the nursing team and service delivery against key performance indicators including working towards the HJIPs (Health & Justice Indicators of Performance) and effectively driving improvements to patient care and experience.
3. Work with subcontractors, partners, and team leaders to ensure the provision of high-quality evidence-based patient care and the efficient use of resources, maintaining visibility and accessibility to patients and staff.
4. Support the Head of Healthcare by taking a strong level of responsibility in maintaining the Care Quality Commission standards and audits against the KLOE.
5. Represent the Head of Healthcare in local meetings with the Prison and other interested parties e.g., Coroner’s court.
6. Be a role model to lead others in line with our shared commitment to our values: Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion, and Innovation.
