About the Team
The Education Health and Care Team is seeking a dedicated Administrator to support our expanding Statutory SEND team. Your efforts will enable the creation of accurate Education Health and Care plans, ensuring the best outcomes for our children and young people, and help us meet our statutory responsibilities.
About the Role
As a SEND Administrator, you will be at the forefront of communication with parents, often providing the first point of contact for families reaching out to our service. Your duties will include:
Managing our phone line, answering queries from families and professionals
Acting as first point of contact for emails and from our contact form, including requests for EHC needs assessments and other Statutory work
Drafting and sending out letters
Managing our secure email system
Processing invoices
Updating and keeping complex records on various systems
Organising meetings
Taking minutes and summarising decisions in panels and meetings
Along with other relevant tasks that support our statutory team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Knowledge of work practices, processes, procedures, and policies related to SEND.
* Experience in education, health, social care or other relevant fields.
* Competence in using IT packages and the ability to learn new systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to independently plan your workload to meet specified timescales are a must. You’ll also be energised by working under pressure, able to switch between competing priorities, and comfortable using your initiative. Finally, you’ll have the skills to analyse and interpret information from a wide range of sources, and excellent written and verbal communication skills which mean you can summarise that information concisely.
