Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting in the search for a Commercial Manager for a family-owned main contractor with offices across the UK and Europe, boasting a strong pipeline of both new and repeat clients.
About the role of Commercial Manager:
They are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to head up Data Centre projects with a team of surveyors. The project is currently in PCSA stages.
You will oversee all commercial aspects, ensuring the project runs to deadlines and within budgets. This includes reporting to the client, mentoring and recruiting team members, and addressing any problematic issues to drive commercial success.
You will report to the division's Commercial Director and the company's Managing Directors.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a commercial lead, managing a team, overseeing projects over £50M, and possess specific data centre experience. This is a great opportunity for someone capable of running an initial project and looking to grow a division and team in the next 12-24 months.
Duties of Commercial Manager:
* Liaise with the client on all upstream requirements, including cost reporting and contract negotiation.
* Manage any disputes and resolutions.
* Oversee cost forecasting, variations, and changes.
* Mentor and develop the team, supporting them with their career goals.
The Company:
The business is a leading main contractor with a turnover of circa £700M and growing. Key projects include industrial, commercial, hotels, and leisure.
They have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years, winning an abundance of work and expanding across the region, working on projects up to £100M under this specific division.
